I think the answer speaks for itself.

Because no love story lasts long enough in my life to actually make it interesting.

It's the cliche answer, but it doesn't change the fact that he's the best he is at what he does.
Why do you like it?
Under current circumstances, I relate to it heavily. The lyrics are heart-breaking, and the passion in this guy's voice sends a shiver up my spine, even after having heard it for the hundredth time.
